"Movement as Prayer"

a dance and embodiment workshop led by multidisciplinary artist Lauren Stonestreet.

Sunday, April 28th, 2:30pm-4:00pm

$10 suggested donation.

Preregistration is required.

The body is sacred. We are formed from dust. It has been said that we are “animated dirt.*” Our bodies release a sound. As we move, we connect with ourselves, with God, and with each other. These workshops will create a container for us to dance prayers, explore dance as a vehicle for healing, and make new discoveries as we journey through this workshop -- Movement as Prayer.

Come and experience new ways to move, to connect, and to express. Let there be what you need in this space. Dance can be a vehicle for healing, for restoration, for reflection, for grounding, for questions, and for connection. This unique workshop is open to all movers (not just for dancers!).

Preregistration is required!

Saturday, May 4th, 7:00pm-8:30pm

Donation based. No pre-registration required.

Make your movement matter by joining us for an energy-packed night of drumsticks and dance-fitness to raise money for a great cause.  Compassionate Women's Initiative is a non-profit based in Jinja, Uganda that assists women in these communities in building practical skills while helping bring the abundance of Christ to their lives. This ministry meets the physical needs of these women and focuses on training, evangelism, and community development.

In addition to getting a great workout for a great cause, you will also have the opportunity to shop some of the crafts and jewelry made by the Ugandan Women and CWI.

This event is completely donation-based with all proceeds going to the mission work in Jinja.  Bring your friends and let's pack the studio out as we sweat and smile and help make a difference in the lives of these Ugandan women.
